Kalmar supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month with unique terminal tractor auction
To celebrate and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Kalmar held a unique auction for two brand-new Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors, each wrapped in a special pink-ribbon themed decal. The proceeds of the auction were donated to the winning dealer’s cancer charity of choice.
The winning dealer in the auction for the DOT/EPA terminal tractor, Avenel Truck & Equipment based in New Jersey, will be donating USD 28,054 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
“We would like to thank Kalmar Ottawa for allowing us the opportunity to support Breast Cancer awareness. We are very proud to present our contribution to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which is widely known as one of the best cancer hospitals in the world," explains Jordan Dana, Vice President, Avenel Truck & Equipment.
The winning dealer in the auction for the Off Highway terminal tractor, Transportation Commodities, Inc. (TCI), will be donating USD 21,160 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
“We are glad the team at TCI could be a part of such a great cause, and we can’t wait to use this new tractor to promote breast cancer awareness to various TCI clients. There are so many great women who have to fight this awful disease and we are all so happy we could help by donating to such a worthy cause,” says Andrew and Ryan Flynn, Co-Presidents of TCI.
‘’We are extremely appreciative of both Avenel and TCI for their very generous offers. Through their participation, as well as our entire dealer body, it becomes apparent why we are industry leaders. Kudos to the entire team for making this charitable event possible," says Doug Queen, Vice President, Solutions Sales, Terminal Tractors at Kalmar.
